Frequently asked
-
Who is this for?
Engineers, ML/AI practitioners, and technical leaders shipping AI to production, and people who want to learn from them. If you build, deploy, evaluate, or operate AI systems at work, this is for you.
-
Do I need to be technical?
The talks assume an engineering audience, we don't dumb things down. You don't need to be a senior staff engineer, but you should be comfortable with terms like eval, agent, inference, and prompt. PMs, designers, and AI-curious folks are welcome; the talks just won't be aimed at you.
-
What's the format?
Two practitioner talks per night (~25 min + 10 min Q&A each), with mingling before and after. Doors at 6:00 PM, talks start ~6:30, wrap by 8:30. No sponsor pitches, no panels, no "future of AI."
-
Is it recorded?
Some talks are recorded with the speaker's consent; some aren't. Recordings and slides land on the event recap page within a week. Subscribe to the newsletter to get the recap.
-
Can I bring colleagues?
Yes, please. The best meetups are full of people you'd want to work with. Forward the Luma link.
-
Where is it?
Cambridge, MA (Kendall Square area). The specific venue is shared with registrants on Luma once you RSVP.
-
How much does it cost?
Free for attendees. We're supported by venue partners and a small number of sponsors who serve the audience. If you want to help, see the Sponsors page.
-
How often does it happen?
Monthly in Boston. NYC and SF are on the roadmap. Subscribe to the newsletter to hear when they launch.
-
Is there a Slack or Discord?
Not yet. We're collecting interest to gauge demand. If you'd like to be invited when the Slack opens, drop your email below.
-
How do I speak at an event?
See the Call for Speakers page. The bar is high (real production stories from practitioners), but we read every pitch.
Want to join the practitioner Slack?
We're collecting interest for a private Slack for AI Runtime practitioners, speakers, engaged attendees, and subscribers who want a place to share production lessons between events. Drop your email and we'll invite you when it opens.
